“Christmas on Copper Street” celebrates the stories, songs and sounds of the season including traditional carols and songs (Jingle Bells, Carol of the Bells) and music from favorite childhood movies (The Grinch, The Nutcracker, Frozen, and A Charlie Brown Christmas.)
With imagination, artistry, and musical mastery, the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet performs its own brilliant arrangements of music by classical composers such as Piazzolla and Debussy, as well as Prince’s Purple Rain, and The Easy Beats’ Friday on My Mind.
The teachers’ brilliant performance last year left the audience begging for more. And they are sure to once again deliver a crowd pleasing concert with repertoire that spans the ages and the globe. Students and their parents will want to attend as profits of this event support school music programs and the Kelly Spaulding Scholarships.
With sign language interpreter—Patty McCutcheon. John McCutcheon is described as folk music’s renaissance man – master instrumentalist, powerful singer-songwriter, storyteller, activist and author. His performances are enjoyed by people of all ages.
